From our FREP President, Katie Parkhurst
Happy Holidays and thank you for being a FREP member!

The Fox River Ecosystem Partnership (FREP) worked hard in 2013 to increase our outreach and programing.  I am pleased to say the hard work resulted in an increase in our membership.  We thank you for being part of a wonderful, diverse, and educational group.  FREP is your organization and the executive committee likes to hear feedback from our members, so please feel free to contact anyone of us with your ideas for programs or other feedback you have.

Ringing in the New Year, we have interesting programs lined up to expand your knowledge, provide networking opportunities, and to see watershed restoration projects.  There are opportunities for you to get more involved with FREP. Join a committee, present a program, share your activities with the membership, or host a meeting.

The second annual Fox River Summit will be held on March 21 in Burlington, WI.  This is a chance for Illinois and Wisconsin Fox River watershed aficionados to come together to learn and share what we are doing to preserve and protect our beloved Fox River.

Our legislative focus this year we will be providing you with more information on how to reach out to your legislators and have your voice be heard.

FREP programs and meetings move all around the watershed so we can see interesting projects and not have to drive too far each month.  Read the Downstream newsletter for details on the upcoming programs.

May 2014 bring us clean water, restored habitats, natural plants, and grant funding.
