FREP Conversations About Conservation With Our Legislators
Our annual event, usually held in March, has been postponed. The FREP Government Relations Committee is exploring the best time to reschedule.  
 
EPA 319 FY11 Grant Package from the Fox River Watershed
A presentation was given at our January 20th meeting about plans for preparing a package of grants from the Fox River Watershed to the EPA 319 Grant Program. If you did not attend the meeting and are interested in preparing a proposal, please check out the links below.

Workshop with Applicants will be held on June 3, 2010 at James 'Pate' Philip Park (formerly known as Tri-County State Park).  FREP will contact each applicant after the May 15, 2010 submittal deadline to set up a specific time on June 3, 2010 where they can meet with and discuss their application with the Water Resources Committee.

Eagle Brook Country Club clubhouse in Geneva (Randall and Fargo) 

Doors open at 4 PM for voting for directors.  Dinner Buffet at 6:30. 
The speaker is John Rogner, who will bring us up to date on his position with the Illinois Department of Conservation and its partnership with US Fish and Wildlife Service.  We know that many people in the environmental community will be interested in hearing him and we hope that many will be able to attend.

Representatives from Illinois EPA, U.S. EPA, CMAP, and Prairie Rivers Network will present information about the Clean Water Act “Section 319” Nonpoint Source Pollution Control grant program and provide tips and insights for preparing grant applications.  Additionally, Arboretum staff will lead  a tour of their successful 319 grant projects.
