Be a part of Earth Hour on Saturday, March 29, 2008 from 8 - 9 PM. The details of the world wide initiative can be found at www.earthhourus.org. “Created
to take a stand against the greatest threat our planet has ever
faced, Earth Hour uses the simple action of turning off the lights
for one hour to deliver a powerful message about the need for action
on global warming. This simple act has captured the hearts
and minds of people all
over the world. As a result, at 8 PM March
29, 2008 millions of people in some of the world’s major
capital cities, including Copenhagen, Toronto, Chicago, Melbourne,
Brisbane and Tel Aviv will unite and switch off for Earth Hour.

Wednesday, May 21, 2008 1 PM Valley Community Bank, lower level, Oak St. & Randall Road, North Aurora Program: North Aurora Town Center Wetland Mitigation Project, Tim Pollowy, Hey & Associates LEGISLATIVE FYI: OSLAD/NAAF funding has been the subject of hearings this week. FREP will be sending a letter in support of the programs to our legislators. Individuals and other organizations should also lend their attention and voice to this issue. |
