Friends of the Fox River, in partnership with The Fabulous Fox! Water Trail, invites the public to join EL CARDUNAL, a new community paddle event. This 6-mile paddle follows the Fox River’s longest free flowing stretch in Kane County. Paddling from Cornish Park in Algonquin to East Dundee offers a new opportunity to experience the river uninterrupted by a dam. Over half the route flows through the Kane County Forest Preserve, highlighting the natural beauty and biodiversity of the Fox River Valley.

Documentary -- Watershed Warriors

A documentary called "Watershed Warriors," produced by RiversAreLife (RaL), offers an intimate look into the profound impact of Friends of the Fox River's mission of protecting, preserving, and restoring the Fox River watershed.
Watershed Warriors embody the spirit of FOTFR. The film showcases the efforts of FOTFR President Gary Swick and FOTFR Education Operations Director Jenni Kempf, who both exemplify a commitment to the river's well-being.
